Kidd.66a רוֹמְסֵם crush them (the Pharisees); a. fr.Part. pass. רָמוּס; f. רְמוּסָה. Y.Ber.IV, 8a הר׳ ביד עריצים (the city of Jerusalem) which is trodden down by tyrants. Pi. רִמֵּס same. Lev. R. s. 16 והיה קרון … ומְרַמַּסְתָּן (not ומרמסן) the carriage passed over them and crushed them to death; (Lam. R. to IV, 15 ומפסקתן).
